The Lofsdalen Freeriders Championship is a freeride competition in Big Mountain format, aimed at juniors aged 7–18, on skis and snowboards. The event spans two competition days with different formats: a pure freeride contest in the wild and beautiful mountain terrain, and a slopestyle freeride competition at Lofsdalen ski resort. Both competitions are unique in Sweden.
The weekend concludes at Lofsdalens Fjällhotell with après-ski, awards ceremony, banquet, and of course the popular ping pong tournament. The Lofsdalen Freeriders Championship is all about creating ski joy and building community.

Competition day 1
Slopestyle competition in a freeride format at Lofsdalen ski resort. No groomed slopes or prepared jumps, but inspired by various jumps and rails from the freeski park.
Competition day 2
Freeride competition on the wild slopes of Sömlinghågna, featuring varied terrain, spectacular snowdrifts, and cliffs to master.
What does free skating mean and how does the competition take place?
Freeskiing is about making your way down a mountainside in such a creative and controlled way.
During the Lofsdalen Freeriders Championship, there will be at least 3 different starts that are age-appropriate:
Green 7-9 years
Red 10-13 years
Black 14-16 years
You may start lower but not higher than the start you have been assigned. The skier may ski facet 1 (stick inspection) and then ski up to the start again, which may vary depending on the amount of snow and how far the competitors can be driven.
The riders are assessed by 3 snowboard judges and 3-4 ski judges according to the following assessment criteria:
