ACCESSIBLE HIKING AMONG MAJESTIC MOUNTAINS

Lofsdalen offers excellent opportunities for mountain hiking and running. The mountains and wilderness areas around Lofsdalen are powerful and invite you to memorable hiking. Mile after mile of marked trails make the experience safe and easy. There are several lakes along the trails, with the possibility for fishing for trout and grayling.

You choose if you want to start your walk in the village, on the border of the tundra or at Västvallen on the other side of the lake.

EASILY ACCESSIBLE HIKING

In Lofsdalen, you hike through alpine terrain and forest trails, with routes suitable for both beginners and experienced mountain hikers. If you want to avoid steep climbs, you can drive to the Hovärk parking lot, where several trails start directly on the mountain plateau. A popular and easy hike is the Panorama Trail to “The Heart,” Lofsdalen’s unique A-frame shelter – a cozy gathering spot for families, complete with warming huts and sunny resting areas. From there, you can continue up to the summit of Hovärken and enjoy stunning views of Sonfjället and Sömlingshågna.
