More and more people spend the autumn holidays in Lofsdalen

Autumn holidays have traditionally been a time when the Swedes have chosen to travel to warmer climes. But in recent years, however, have seen a trend of more and more Swedes choose to spend the holidays at home and instead look to the mountains.

Lofsdalen in the southern Härjedalen is no exception. In week 44, the week of the autumn school brake both cottage owners, mountain enthusiasts and others who are curious about what the resort can offer during this time of year.

"In recent years, we have seen a clear trend that more guests and especially holiday home owners choose to spend the autumn holidays here," says Maria Hasselgren, CEO at Destination Lofsdalen.

The entrepreneurs in the village have also adapted to the influx of visitors and offer a range of activities that visitors can choose from during the week. Among the activities offered are cross-country skiing on artificial snow, quad biking, fleamarkets and outlets.

"The first snow has already fallen and, of course, we look forward to the opening of the cross-country skiing track on November 1st. But it is also fun that there are so many other activities to choose from and that so many businesses are open, Maria continues.

For those who seek peace and relaxation during their mountain trip, there is also the opportunity to attend Yoga classes on Friday and Saturday. The pass will be individually designed and no prior knowledge will be required to participate.

The traveler with children don't need not be disappointed. The activity house with indoor playground and bowling will be open all week and besides that, there will be an outside quiz-walk and fish pond.

There are many affordable accommodation options for those who do not have their own cabin. Up in Höglandet you can rent large cabins with a stunning view of lake Lofssjön and the mountains, and down the valley there are apartments with almost ski in / ski out to the ski trail.
